About Us

Founded in 2002 by Mark Lynn and Steven Main, Lynn & Main Incorporated is a South African law firm dedicated to the recovery of distressed debt. For more than two decades, we have focused exclusively on this specialised field, acting primarily for Shackleton Credit Management.
The debt we manage is typically ceded to Shackleton by banks and other credit providers, making Shackleton the legal owner of the debt.
With a team of over 250 employees, including 50 Attorneys, and offices in Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg, and Umhlanga, Lynn & Main offers nationwide coverage and expertise in banking law, insolvency, and debt enforcement.
Our firm is built on values of integrity, governance, and results, enabling us to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes in a highly specialised and regulated field.
